Les Prana Vayu with Lyne St-Roch*
Thursday, October 26th, 2017
7:30 -9:30 pm

Thursdays, 7:45 – 8:30 pm,
September 28th – October 19th, 2017
September 28th – October 19th, 2017
Meditation quiets the mind by directing our awareness on one point. Whether that point is our breath, a mantra or an image we are training the mind to be focused and still – away from our habitual patterns of thought. As we learn to deepen our meditation, we come to experience an inner-peace, joy and contentment independent from our external ups and downs.
In this 4-week series, Melanie will introduce you to different styles of non-secular meditation so that you may find the one that best fits your personality.
- Traditional Buddhist Meditation (mindfulness meditation) based on the Vipassana tradition (Anapana)
- Breathing meditations based on Pranayama (control of the breath)
- Yantra Meditation – meditation on a sacred symbol
- Mantra (sacred word) and Mudra (hand gestures) meditation based in the Kundalini Yoga tradition
- Metta (loving-kindness) Meditation
