Both relaxing and therapeutic, Swedish massage is a full-body treatment. Adapted to your preferences, it can be anything from soothing and gentle, to an invigorating deep tissue experience.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish Massage, but with more intense pressure and specific targeting of muscles and connective tissues. This allows the therapist to release chronic muscle tension or knots.
Reflexology aims to bring your body into a naturally balanced and restful state by massaging your hands and/or feet. This stimulates the nerve impulses that connect to your organs, systems and glands, and encourages both circulation and the movement of toxic blockages.
Osteopathy emphasizes the treatment of medical disorders through the manipulation and massage of the bones, joints, and muscles. It is a gentle and holistic approach and treats all systems of the body harmoniously. Osteopaths do not simply concentrate on treating the problem area, but use manual techniques to balance all the systems of the body, to provide overall good health and wellbeing.

Acupressure is an ancient form of healing, practiced by applying controlled pressure along the energy lines (meridians) in the body. Developed in Asia over 5,000 years ago, it is in the family of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as are Tuina and Acupuncture. The massage can be performed on a table with oil applied to the skin or the client can be fully dressed, on a massage chair. Gradual pressure is applied to the trigger points along the meridians with hand, elbow, arm and finger. Pressure varies from gentle to deep with the intention to relax, restore and replenish. Acupressure Therapy is effective in the relief of stress-related ailments, headaches, migraine, back pain, indigestion, sciatica, frozen shoulders, carpal tunnel, constipation/diarrhea, etc.
Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork based on traditional Chinese medicine theory. The word ‘Shiatsu’ means finger pressure, and the technique includes pressure with the thumbs and palms assisted with soft stretching and joint mobilizations. Disease, according to traditional oriental medicine is the result of imbalances of the life energy. This energy is believed to travel in the body through Meridian lines, the Shiatsu therapist aims to unblock the flow of energy in the Meridians thus bringing the client’s body back into a balanced state, restoring health and vitality. In Shiatsu we treat the whole body as well as the specific problem area. Common conditions that can be helped include (but are not limited to) back, neck and shoulder tension and pain, headaches, migraine, insomnia, digestive problems, and also emotional issues related to stress, anxiety etc.
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, developed thousands of years ago in India. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. An Ayurvedic approach treats each individual, taking into account his/her own unique psychological, emotional, and physical conditions. Imbalances in the body are identified by the practitioner and recommendations such as food and nutrition, lifestyle practices, yoga, natural medicinal herbs, meditation as well as massage therapy are suggested to correct these imbalances. Please note all Ayurveda treatments are 75 minutes.
